In December 2020, PrimeXM registered a total of $866.46 billion in monthly trading volume across the 3 major Data Centre locations NY$, LD4 and TY3, representing a 5.71% MoM decrease in trading activity.
The Average Daily Volume (ADV) in December was $39.38 billion, down 10% on the previous month (November 2020),. The highest daily trading volume of the month was registered on 21st December with a $56.26 billion turnovers. The total number of trades in December was 25.17 million.

74% of the total monthly traded volume was recorded in our Data Centre located in LD4 – $645.38 billion in notional value. The Data Centre in NY4 has remained in the 2nd place consecutively for the third month with a $118.04 billion, which saw a 6% MoM growth.

XAUUSD has remained consistently the most popular instrument of traders for the past few month via PrimeXM's network. Total trading volume in XAU reached $226.7 billion in December, representing over 26% of the overall monthly trading volume on the network. EURUSD remained the favourite FX pair traded, with $150.6 billion of volume recorded. GBPUSD (Cable) remains consistent as the second most actively traded FX pair via PrimeXM, with December volumes of $146.6 billion.
