Digital assets payments platform BVNK has formed a strategic partnership with financial services group First Digital, the issuer of the First Digital USD (FDUSD®) stablecoin, to promote stablecoin adoption in global markets.
FDUSD is a USD-backed stablecoin, fully backed 1:1 by cash and cash equivalents held in segregated holding structures. Reserves are safeguarded by a licensed custodian, with independent attestation reports published monthly. The token is intended for use in payments, trading, and decentralised finance applications.
The companies said the partnership will increase the use of FDUSD within the cryptocurrency ecosystem and in broader payment applications, responding to demand for fast, reliable, and cost-effective digital settlement tools. BVNK will be among the first business payment platforms to integrate FDUSD, enabling businesses to use the token for payments, trading, and settlements through its multi-token, multi-blockchain platform.
Within four months of launch, FDUSD reached a market capitalisation of more than $1 billion and became the second most traded stablecoin on centralised exchanges, with a single-day trading volume exceeding $23 billion.
“2025 is undoubtedly going to be a breakout year for stablecoin adoption, with businesses increasingly looking for solutions that address regional challenges like cross-border payment friction and currency volatility,” said Vincent Chok, Chief Executive Officer at First Digital. “FDUSD was built to provide a fluid, dependable, universal digital dollar tailored for this fast-moving market. Partnering with BVNK ensures businesses around the globe have the tools they need to unlock new efficiencies in a digital-first economy.”
Matt Barclay, Chief Revenue Officer at BVNK, said: “FDUSD resonates with the needs of businesses globally, where cross-border payments and liquidity management are critical. Together, we’re not just scaling adoption of FDUSD but also empowering businesses to operate seamlessly across diverse financial ecosystems.”
