Assets Under Management (AUM) at Valour Inc., the exchange-traded product (ETP) subsidiary of DeFi Technologies, have surged to C$883 million (£563 million), marking a 73% increase this fiscal year amidst rising cryptocurrency prices and growing institutional demand.

The milestone comes as Bitcoin reached all-time highs following the US election, with Valour's net sales exceeding C$120 million (£76.5 million) over the past 12 months. The company's growth reflects broader market momentum in regulated crypto investment products.

Olivier Roussy Newton, CEO of DeFi Technologies, said: "Reaching this AUM milestone is a testament to the increasing confidence in our innovative investment solutions and the broader digital asset market. We are still in the early stages of our growth journey, and with the momentum we're seeing in market demand, we anticipate even stronger tailwinds propelling us forward."

The company has expanded its ETP offerings to 28 products, with plans to reach 40 by year-end 2024 and 100 by close of 2025. Valour is pursuing regulatory approval to enter North African and Middle Eastern markets, signalling growing institutional appetite for regulated crypto exposure in emerging economies.

DeFi Technologies' financial position has strengthened, with approximately C$12.9 million in cash and USDT holdings as of 31 October 2024. The company recently cleared C$5.5 million in debt and has built a substantial digital asset treasury valued at C$43.6 million, including holdings in major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Cardano.

The firm's DeFi Alpha strategy generated C$113.8 million in the second quarter and C$19.3 million in the third quarter through arbitrage opportunities, with no losses recorded.

Trading on the CBOE Canada exchange under DEFI, the company will release its third-quarter financial results on 14 November 2024, with a shareholder call scheduled for 18 November 2024.

Valour's growing AUM suggests increasing mainstream acceptance of regulated crypto investment vehicles.
