Trading platform eToro has expanded its German equity offering through a partnership with Deutsche Börse, adding 290 smaller-cap stocks to complement its existing coverage of DAX40 companies.
The agreement includes enhanced pricing data from the Xetra trading venue for eToro's German users, though specific improvements to the data feed were not detailed in the announcement.
"eToro's partnership with Deutsche Börse represents a significant milestone in our commitment to localizing services for the German market," said Yossi Brandes, VP of Execution Services at eToro. "This collaboration complements our existing ETFs package from Xetra, providing a comprehensive, retail-oriented service."
Alireza Dorfard, Head of Market Data + Services at Deutsche Börse AG, said: "The cooperation with eToro enables retail investors to trade German stocks based on the high quality data of XETRA which supports their investment decisions."
The move follows eToro's recent launch of Core portfolios, which offer free investment with asset allocation guidance from BlackRock, and the introduction of euro-denominated trading accounts.
eToro announced a similar arrangement with the London Stock Exchange in July to list an additional 1,000 UK stocks, though no timeline was given for when these shares would become available.
The company did not disclose trading volumes or user numbers for its German market operations.
