Monark, a fintech firm specialising in API infrastructure for alternative assets, has announced a strategic integration with InteliClear, a post-trade processing system, to streamline access to private markets for retail brokerage firms.
The integration will see Monark’s “Alts-as-a-Service” APIs combined with InteliClear’s post-trade services, allowing InteliClear clients to process and manage alternative investments within their existing back office systems. The initial focus will be on the Pre-IPO market, with Monark’s infrastructure enabling brokerage firms to offer investment opportunities in companies such as SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic directly through their platforms.
The collaboration will enable InteliClear to process and ingest alternative investments from Monark, maintain investor records for private market holdings, and facilitate funding of these investments directly from investors’ brokerage accounts. This connectivity aims to simplify the operational workflow between broker-dealer platforms and their back office books and records.
Ben Haber, CEO at Monark Markets
“As the gap between public and private markets converge, working with groups like InteliClear helps create connectivity for broker dealers and clearing firms,” said Ben Haber, CEO at Monark Markets. “With over 100 Million brokerage accounts in the US, enabling connectivity between traditional brokerages and private markets helps expand access to an exciting new market for investors and access to retail capital for issuers within private markets.”
John Paul DeVito, Co-Founder and Director of Sales and Marketing at InteliClear
John Paul DeVito, Co-Founder and Director of Sales and Marketing at InteliClear, commented, “Since inception, InteliClear has supported and empowered innovative fintech firms like Monark Markets to enhance post-trade operations for the benefit of their end customers. We’re excited to integrate our cutting-edge infrastructure with Monark’s APIs, proving that alternative investments belong in a client’s brokerage experience. As more of our clients seek exposure to private markets, especially Pre-IPO opportunities, Monark delivers a seamless, compliant point of access fully integrated into their existing back-office systems.”
Access to Monark’s APIs will initially be available to a select group of InteliClear clients, providing exclusive access to private investment opportunities across Pre-IPO, Registered Funds, and other alternative assets.
Monark Markets, founded in 2022 and based in New York, is a venture-backed provider of infrastructure for embedding private securities into client experiences via API, handling regulatory and operational complexities. The company expanded its alternative securities offering following the acquisition of assets and intellectual property from LEX Markets in 2023.
MMM Securities LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Monark Markets, is a FINRA-member broker-dealer authorised for private placements, retail mutual fund sales, and operation of an alternative trading system.
