FalconX, the institutional digital asset prime broker, has announced a strategic partnership with Standard Chartered Bank that will see the international banking group provide comprehensive banking services to FalconX globally. The collaboration represents another step in bridging traditional finance and digital assets for institutional clients.

In the initial phase, Standard Chartered will provide banking infrastructure and access to extensive currency pairs to FalconX, aimed at enhancing speed, scale, and reliability of cross-border settlement for institutional clients. The partnership is expected to expand beyond banking services to include additional products and services for both companies' institutional clients, including asset managers, hedge funds, token issuers, and payment platforms.

"We are pleased to partner with Standard Chartered, one of the most forward-thinking global banks in digital asset adoption," said Matt Long, General Manager, APAC & Middle East at FalconX. "At FalconX, we support trading and financing for some of the world's largest institutions in digital asset markets, and this relationship strengthens our ability to deliver robust banking and FX solutions to clients who rely on us to operate in crypto markets."

Luke Boland, Head of Fintech, ASEAN, South Asia & GCNA at Standard Chartered, added, "Our collaboration with FalconX underscores our commitment to advancing the digital asset ecosystem. As institutional demand for digital assets continues to grow, we're proud to provide the banking infrastructure that enables firms like FalconX to deliver world-class trading and financing solutions to institutional clients."

The partnership continues FalconX's expansion of its global footprint and enterprise-grade infrastructure offerings. FalconX describes itself as providing comprehensive access to global digital asset liquidity and trading services, with 24/7 dedicated support for account, operational and trading needs.

FalconX Bravo, Inc., an affiliate of FalconX, became the first Commodity Futures Trading Commission-registered swap dealer focused on cryptocurrency derivatives. The company is backed by investors including Accel, Adams Street Partners, Altimeter Capital, American Express Ventures, B Capital, GIC, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Sapphire Ventures, Thoma Bravo, Tiger Global Management and Wellington Management.

Standard Chartered operates in 53 markets globally and is listed on the London and Hong Kong stock exchanges. The bank has been increasingly active in the digital asset space as institutional demand continues to grow.

FalconX has offices in Silicon Valley, New York, London, Hong Kong, Bengaluru, Singapore, and Valletta.
