StoneX Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SNEX) has announced a strategic partnership with The Pathfinder Group, Ltd., aimed at delivering institutional-grade cross-border payment capabilities to financial institutions.

The collaboration grants Pathfinder’s client base, which utilises its WITS™ (Wire Transfer System), access to StoneX’s institutional-grade infrastructure and expansive global payments network. This integration is designed to reduce friction in cross-border transactions and provide a level of access previously unavailable to these institutions. By removing intermediary banks from the payment flow, the partnership seeks to improve foreign exchange rates, accelerate processing, and heighten transparency for financial institutions and their customers.

For StoneX, integrating with Pathfinder’s WITS™ extends its reach into financial institutions, a client segment that has historically lacked access to institutional-grade global payments and foreign exchange services. This move reinforces StoneX’s position in delivering efficient, compliant, and technology-driven payment solutions across the financial services ecosystem.

Pathfinder’s WITS™ is a comprehensive daily wire processing platform that enables straight-through processing with direct connections to the Federal Reserve and core banking systems. The system is noted for its fraud monitoring, compliance, and reporting capabilities. Through the partnership, Pathfinder aims to strengthen its offering by providing clients with faster cross-border transactions, more competitive foreign exchange rates, and expanded payment capabilities.

“Over time, through our close work with community banks and credit unions, we've recognized the critical need for a more competitive offering compared to what the market has traditionally provided. By partnering with a trusted enterprise like Pathfinder, StoneX is extending institutional-grade global payments to a broader client base while maintaining our commitment to delivering innovative, technology-driven solutions across the market.”

Community banks and credit unions recognize that providing international payments isn’t optional – it’s essential to meeting the needs of their client base and staying competitive.”

This partnership highlights the ongoing evolution within the financial sector to provide more efficient and accessible services. For institutional players like those interested in what are liquidity providers and the intricate world of Tier 1 liquidity providers, the seamless movement of funds and transparent foreign exchange execution are paramount. The ability to access robust global payments infrastructure directly impacts the operational efficiency and profitability of institutional FX desks and prime brokerage services, underscoring the importance of such technological advancements in maintaining competitive edge and serving client needs effectively in the global market.
