Wintermute, a prominent algorithmic trading company in the digital assets space, has introduced NODE, its new over-the-counter (OTC) trading platform. NODE is designed to serve institutions and qualified individuals, offering proprietary pricing and execution for more than 250 digital assets.
The platform provides a comprehensive solution for price discovery, trading, and exposure monitoring. It offers direct access to Wintermute's principal desk liquidity through both API and web interface. The company's proprietary algorithms, which connect to over 60 centralized and decentralized trading venues, power the electronic pricing and execution.
NODE's web interface aims to make Wintermute's electronic liquidity more accessible to a broader range of counterparties, including directional hedge funds, family offices, and qualified individuals. It offers streaming prices with order books for over 100 digital assets and allows for direct execution through desktop browsers.
The NODE API builds upon Wintermute's OTC API, launched in June 2021, which has gained traction among various financial entities. Several crypto-native and traditional finance order/execution management systems have integrated with Wintermute's API.
Evgeny Gaevoy, founder and CEO of Wintermute, stated: "If you are a person or an entity active on exchanges, aggregators, brokers or borrowing-lending platforms, there is a good chance your transactions are actually executed by Wintermute. With the Wintermute NODE web interface launch, we are thrilled to now offer our services for direct click-to-trade execution."
Wintermute reports trading over $5 billion daily and plays a significant role in providing liquidity for major blockchain projects. The company is also registered with the UK's Financial Conduct Authority under the anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing regime for crypto companies.
