Digital asset trading technology firm Wyden has partnered with Wintermute, a prominent algorithmic trading and liquidity provider in the digital assets space. The integration aims to enhance crypto liquidity for Wyden clients and provide access to a wider range of digital assets through Wintermute.
The collaboration between Wyden and Wintermute is designed to offer financial institutions improved crypto liquidity and expanded digital asset coverage. Wintermute provides liquidity across more than 60 centralized and decentralized exchanges, while Wyden focuses on market connectivity and digital asset trade automation.
Wyden's crypto portfolio, order, and execution management system (OEMS) covers various aspects of the trade lifecycle. The company also offers custody and core banking integration for financial institutions. Wintermute, utilizing its trading infrastructure and market connections, supplies liquidity for various assets and markets.
This partnership comes as traditional financial institutions show renewed interest in crypto and seek to diversify their digital asset portfolios. Wintermute's OTC desk reported increased interest in trading alternative assets by these institutions in the latter half of 2023, a trend that has continued into 2024.
Evgeny Gaevoy, CEO of Wintermute, stated: "The integration with Wyden underscores our commitment to providing institutional investors with efficient and reliable access to digital asset markets. By combining our deep liquidity across hundreds of tokens with Wyden's advanced trading features, we will further improve the quality of the trading experience and execution for buy- and sell-side firms."
Andy Flury, CEO of Wyden, added: "This collaboration is a testament to Wyden and Wintermute's shared vision of fostering a more efficient digital asset ecosystem. By leveraging Wintermute's unmatched liquidity and Wyden's leading trading technology, we are able to deliver an exceptional digital asset trading solution."
The integration aims to address the evolving needs of financial institutions in the digital asset market by combining Wintermute's liquidity provision with Wyden's trading technology.
