Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced that its tokenized securities offering, bStocks, has passed $500 million in assets under management, seven weeks after going live.
The product launched on 11 June 2026 with five tickers and has since expanded to more than 46 listings. Eligible users get round-the-clock access to tokenised securities, along with free, instant conversion between a bStock and its underlying stock in either direction.
bStocks are blockchain-based tokens that track the price of individual listed shares and ETFs, held and traded in a user's Binance account rather than through a broker, tradable 24 hours a day including weekends, and convertible by eligible users into the underlying share itself, free of charge and instantly.
Binance says the early data points to an audience coming to equities from digital assets rather than the other way round. According to the exchange, 41.5% of bStocks users started their traditional finance investment journey through tokenised securities on the platform.
Gen Z accounts for 44% of bStocks trading activity, making it the largest participating age group.
Engagement is heavily weighted towards the hours when US equity markets are shut. After the US close, bStocks account for 58% of equity-linked trading volume on Binance. Over the most recent weekend, the product recorded $2 billion in trading volume.
bStocks sit alongside spot, equities and perpetual futures within Binance's wider investment offering. The exchange says 58.5% of bStocks holders also trade perpetual futures, direct equities, or all three.
"Tokenized stocks are opening the door to a new generation of investors and with bStocks accounting for 58% of equity-linked volume on Binance outside U.S. market hours, it is clear that users increasingly expect access on their own terms. We're seeing more users explore traditional finance through an experience that is borderless, always available, and integrated with the digital assets they already hold. As user demands evolve, we will continue expanding bStocks to make global investment opportunities more accessible and intuitive." - Shunyet Jan, Head of Exchange & Trading, Binance
The listings added since launch span technology, semiconductors, financial services, clean energy and exchange-traded funds. Recent additions include Apple, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, PayPal, Dell Technologies and the VanEck Semiconductor ETF.
The full list of available tokenised stocks is published on Binance.
Does weekend and after-hours demand for tokenised equities point to a permanent shift in how retail investors expect to access stock markets, or is this a crypto phenomenon? Add your thoughts in the comments.
