Broadridge Financial Solutions (NYSE: BR) has announced the expansion of its digital assets platform for wealth management firms to the US market, building on the platform's existing availability in Canada.
The platform gives wealth managers a unified way to offer cryptocurrencies and tokenised securities alongside traditional investments. It enables US broker-dealers, registered investment advisers and wealth managers to incorporate digital assets into their existing wealth offerings through a single operating model.
The expansion is supported by a growing ecosystem of providers, initially Anchorage Digital and Galaxy Digital, with the platform supporting both cryptocurrencies and tokenised securities issued and serviced through new and established market infrastructure. This is intended to let firms add new assets and transaction types to systems and workflows they already use.
Tom Carey, Global Head of Product and Technology, Broadridge
Tom Carey, Global Head of Product and Technology, Broadridge said:
"Digital assets are moving from the margins to the mainstream investment conversations for US investors, advisors and wealth managers. Our platform helps firms extend the trusted wealth experience they already provide to include digital assets, while managing the operational complexity behind the scenes. By bringing traditional and digital investments together in a single environment, we are helping clients expand investor choice while maintaining the controls, service model and experience their businesses require."
Tom Carey, Global Head of Product and Technology, Broadridge also said:
Beginning with Anchorage Digital and Galaxy Digital, the platform's ecosystem of custodians, wallet infrastructure providers, liquidity providers and compliance partners is designed to give firms flexibility as their digital asset strategies, client needs and market connectivity requirements evolve.
Nathan McCauley, CEO and Co-Founder, Anchorage Digital said:
"Crypto is no longer a side conversation in wealth management, it's the conversation. As American's first federally chartered digital asset bank, we're proud to bring institutional-grade custody and settlement to Broadridge's platform, so US wealth managers can offer their clients digital assets with the same trust and rigor as everything else in their portfolios."
Mike Novogratz, Founder and CEO, Galaxy Digital
Mike Novogratz, Founder and CEO, Galaxy Digital commented:
"As a global leader in digital assets, Galaxy is pleased to combine its digital asset market infrastructure and capabilities with Broadridge's established wealth management platform as the company expands its next generation digital asset capabilities to US wealth management firms."
Broadridge's integrated digital asset capabilities include support for cryptocurrencies and tokenised real-world assets, including equities, funds, and private or alternative investments, via DLX, Broadridge's tokenisation and digital assets infrastructure platform. The offering supports both advisor-led and self-directed wealth management models.
The platform integrates with existing Broadridge or third-party books and records systems, allowing firms to make use of existing integrations and downstream services such as regulatory reporting, statements, confirms and tax. It also brings traditional and digital assets together within a unified client experience, with integrated disclosure, governance and compliance-support capabilities, including retail and institutional proxy voting and regulatory disclosures.
Additional features include integrated wallets and institutional-grade custody, covering omnibus and segregated wallet structures and multi-custodian capabilities, along with infrastructure designed to support the continuous, always-on nature of digital asset markets and operations.
For US wealth managers, the platform is positioned to integrate digital assets into established client, advisor, operations and supervisory workflows, with Broadridge aiming to simplify processing across trading, custody, asset servicing, communications, governance and proxy voting.
