Bybit has restored complete access to its mobile applications on the App Store and Google Play for users in India, whilst website access is being restored in phases and expected to be fully available within the next 3-4 days.
The cryptocurrency exchange, which ranks as the world's second-largest by trading volume, had previously suspended services whilst pursuing regulatory compliance in the Indian market. The restoration follows Bybit's registration with the Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND) as a reporting entity in January 2025, ensuring compliance with India's Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Operations were initially re-established on 25th February 2025, when authorised users could access all trading functionality. However, complete functionality of the website and app was only achieved following extensive engagement with authorities.
