Trading software specialist Devexperts has launched a new event-based trading solution designed to help brokers and exchanges enter the fast-growing prediction-market segment with fully customisable technology that can be deployed as a standalone platform or integrated into existing infrastructures.
Devexperts has introduced a new enterprise-grade framework for event-based trading, offering firms the ability to build bespoke platforms based on their specific business models and operational requirements.
Drawing on more than 20 years of experience in multi-asset trading technology, Devexperts says the new framework can be delivered either as a complete platform — including frontend, matching engine and administrative tools — or as modular components designed to plug into existing systems.
According to the company, the event-based trading concept forms the foundation for developing resilient infrastructures capable of supporting the operational demands of prediction markets, including:
🔹 24/7 trading with strict uptime requirements and system-component replication
🔹 Real-time creation, resolution and removal of contracts
🔹 Administrative contract management via API-connected interfaces
🔹 High flexibility in contract-resolution logic
🔹 Modular architecture enabling updates without service interruption
🔹 Capacity to handle high peak-load environments
🔹 Anti-front-running protections — for example, latency controls during live sporting events
The product is based on the existing framework behind Devexperts’ flagship multi-asset trading platform, DXtrade, and its matching-engine infrastructure DXmatch. Both can be configured with a customised user interface to enhance client experience and meet individual preferences.
Jon Light, Senior Director of Product Management at Devexperts, said:
As the regulatory landscape in the U.S. shifts in favour of prediction markets, event based trading is gaining popularity in the retail market — and fast. This proposition opens trading up to almost anybody and we are seeing a number of big players making moves to meet growing market demand.
With our proprietary prototype we can deliver an event based trading platform, either in part for integration or as a full standalone product, in a timely and cost-effective manner that allows firms and exchanges to begin providing these services quickly and efficiently.
The breadth and depth of our experience means we are able to meet the specific requirements of event based trading with robust and reliable software, including tailored UI according to individual client preferences.”
