KuCoin Institutional has announced a strategic partnership with Cactus Custody, Matrixport's digital asset custodian, to integrate an off-exchange settlement framework aimed at enhancing institutional-grade custody security and trading efficiency.
The partnership, announced on 5 November 2025, integrates Cactus Oasis, Cactus Custody's Off-Exchange Settlement (OES) framework, which allows institutional and eligible clients to execute trades on KuCoin without pre-funding exchange wallets.
Under the arrangement, clients' assets remain securely held in a regulated and fully segregated custody environment with Cactus Custody until order execution. The custody solution includes multi-signature wallets, cold storage, and ISO-certified controls. Clients can access KuCoin Institutional's liquidity across spot, margin, options, and perpetual futures markets whilst maintaining asset protection standards.
