Equiti Group, a multi-asset broker and fintech provider, has announced three strategic executive appointments as part of its global expansion strategy.

The company has promoted Sartaj Singh to Chief Technology Officer following his role as Global Head of Technology since December 2023. During his tenure, Singh has led what the company describes as a significant transformation of its technology infrastructure, improving stability, scalability and sophistication across Equiti's core technology platforms.

Rick Fulton has been appointed Chief Risk and Audit Officer after spending two years building the company's risk management function. The appointment follows his work developing capabilities to manage and mitigate risks across market, credit and enterprise domains.

Sean Hong has been named Chief Financial Officer after joining the company in August 2023 to transform its finance function. Under his leadership, the finance team has been repositioned as what the company calls a strategic business partner, focusing on financial performance and cost management.

Equiti Group is a fintech provider that offers trading technology, payment software, virtual assets, asset management and physical commodity solutions across retail, professional and institutional segments. The company operates across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East with licences in the UK, UAE and Cyprus. Equiti Capital, the group's brokerage arm that provides multi-asset trading services to retail and institutional clients, is listed on LiquidityFinder.

Iskandar Najjar, Group CEO of Equiti, commented: "Innovation is at the core of everything we do at Equiti. As we expand our footprint in global markets, these appointments ensure we remain agile, tech-driven, and client-focused. Sartaj, Rick, and Sean bring the expertise to lead in fast-changing environments and help us set new standards in trading technology, governance, and performance. More importantly, they share our commitment to innovation, client-centricity, and building a stronger, more agile organisation. This is an exciting chapter for Equiti as we deepen our impact and reimagine what the trading experience can be for clients worldwide."

As CTO, Singh will focus on what the company describes as embedding intelligence across operational layers from trading to onboarding to deliver client-centric experiences. Fulton will continue developing Equiti's Risk and Audit departments within the company's governance framework, whilst Hong will drive operational efficiency and support the company's growth trajectory.
