Polymarket, which describes itself as the world's largest prediction market, has launched Squads, a new social feature within its US app that lets friends discuss markets, share trading positions and trade together.
Squads allows users to create private groups, invite friends, chat about games and markets, share positions and combos, and see what other group members are trading. Each Squad functions as a private space within the Polymarket app, though every member continues to trade through their own individual Polymarket account.
Travis VanderZanden, Chief Growth Officer, Polymarket
Travis VanderZanden, Chief Growth Officer, Polymarket said:
"People are constantly debating what's going to happen next with their friends and sharing predictions in group chats. With Squads, we're bringing the conversation and trading together so friends can follow the events they care about and make their predictions in one place. No better time to start than right before football season kicks off."
Alongside the launch of Squads, Polymarket is debuting Polymarket HQ, its first football season marketing campaign, directed by Peter Berg. The campaign features a roster of sports and cultural figures, including LeBron James, Eli Manning, Derek Jeter, Spike Lee, Sue Bird, Richard Sherman and Rajon Rondo. Set inside a fictional Polymarket headquarters in which each floor represents a different market, the campaign consists of a series of adverts covering Squads, live trading, Combos and other Polymarket features.
The launch follows Polymarket's recent introduction of Polymarket Perps, which allows users to trade price movements of assets across crypto, stocks, commodities and indices.
