Prime brokerage and capital markets fintech company Rostro Group has announced the appointment of Mark Foulger as Managing Director of Digital Asset Innovation. Foulger, a veteran with decades of experience in FX sales, will focus on addressing the complex demands of multi-asset, multi-jurisdictional brokerage in leveraging data and technology, as well as principal market making across various asset classes.
Michael Ayres, CEO of Rostro Group, stated: "Mark is a powerful addition to the team, having worked in a number of market making, hedge fund, broker-dealers and technology companies over the last 20 years. As our latest high-profile addition, we believe this underlines the fact that Rostro Group is a true powerhouse in the CFD, FX and investing field. The best talents in the industry want to work with us and we look forward to learning from Mark's invaluable insights, too."
Foulger's role will involve strategic planning for the digital asset class, including the development of systematic market making and automated risk management strategies. He will also oversee the creation of alpha generation models across a wider range of asset classes.
On his appointment, Mark Foulger commented: "The CFD and FX trading industry is now truly a mature one and for many that seems to have dampened the demand to innovate. However, Rostro Group is a genuine exception here, as can be seen with the launch of multiple new products and investing initiatives. I am delighted to be part of the team and look forward to participating in this fast growth business which is shaping the future of investing."
This appointment comes amid recent developments at Rostro Group, including a comprehensive rebranding of both the parent company and the recently acquired Scope Markets. The group has also launched new products such as fractional unleveraged equity CFDs, reflecting its focus on innovation and financial inclusion.
Founded in 2021, Rostro Group operates multi-regulated brokerage houses in six different jurisdictions worldwide, providing execution and clearing of both listed securities and OTC derivatives.
Scope Prime provides advanced technology, bespoke liquidity, and high-touch service, offering multi-asset solutions, risk analytics, financing, execution, and market data to clients globally.
