March 21, 2024 - XTX Markets, a leading global liquidity provider, has issued a statement alerting the financial community to the presence of fraudulent websites, individuals, and entities falsely claiming to be affiliated with the firm. These scams primarily target retail investors, offering fraudulent foreign exchange (FX) and cryptocurrency services under the guise of an association with XTX Markets.
In its statement, XTX Markets clarified that it does not issue cryptocurrencies or offer services on any retail FX or cryptocurrency platforms. The firm emphasised that it does not accept deposits from, or engage in any transactions with, individual or retail investors in any product, including cryptocurrencies and FX.
XTX Markets operates only two official websites: XTXMARKETS.COM and AIMOPRIZE.COM. The latter is dedicated to the AIMO Prize, an initiative supporting research in artificial intelligence. Any other website claiming to be associated with XTX Markets is fraudulent.
The company urged individuals who have been contacted by entities offering XTX Markets-branded cryptocurrency or trading services to exercise caution, as these entities are not connected to or affiliated with XTX Markets in any way.
XTX Markets advised, “If you are contacted by anyone offering or selling XTX Markets branded cryptocurrency or trading services or purporting to be acting on behalf of, or in any way connected to, XTX, then please be aware that these people are not in any way connected to or affiliated to XTX. If you believe you have been the victim of a fraud, please contact your local authorities.”
