Cryptocurrency exchange CoinW has reached its eighth anniversary milestone, serving over 15 million registered users whilst facilitating more than $5 billion in 24-hour trading volume. The Hong Kong-based platform has undergone a comprehensive full-stack upgrade that integrates centralised and on-chain infrastructure.
The exchange has evolved from its initial focus on spot trading services into what it describes as a comprehensive trading ecosystem encompassing derivatives, on-chain products, and professional trading tools. CoinW's derivatives platform currently ranks fourth globally according to CoinGecko data.
In a recent open letter marking the anniversary, founder Gary reaffirmed the company's strategic direction with the vision "Here for Crypto, Here for the Future." The platform has introduced several new products this year, including an industry-first Futures Protection Program designed to help users manage volatility through monthly safeguards.
The anniversary coincides with CoinW's launch of what it calls the "future of trading" through its new integrated architecture. This system comprises four main components: CoinW's integrated trading platform for spot and contract matching with artificial intelligence-driven execution; GemW, which provides wallet-free, gas-free on-chain access; DeriW, offering zero-gas perpetuals on a Layer-3 architecture capable of processing up to 80,000 transactions per second; and PropW, a professional trading track for qualified traders with capital access and profit sharing arrangements up to 90%.
The platform has focused particularly on removing barriers to crypto adoption in Southeast Asia, where many users encounter digital assets for the first time. CoinW has addressed common obstacles such as wallet setup complexity, gas fees, and fragmented trading tools.
Beyond its trading operations, CoinW has expanded its presence through strategic partnerships. The exchange became a regional partner of LALIGA this year, with year-round activations planned across Asia. It has also renewed its official Web3 sponsorship of the EAFF E-1 Football Championship.
The platform received recognition as "Most Trustworthy Cryptocurrency Exchange in Asia" at the 7th Hit AI & Blockchain Summit, acknowledging its focus on security and operational stability.
CoinW has chosen "Trot On To Infinity" as its eighth anniversary theme, symbolising what the company describes as its commitment to continuous advancement alongside its user base.
The anniversary celebrations will include online campaigns and offline meetups, highlighted by a Global 8-City Marathon connecting with CoinW's international community. The company states these initiatives embody the "Trot On To Infinity" philosophy of advancing with users into the next phase of cryptocurrency development.
CoinW's strategic priorities moving forward include enhancing security measures, advancing compliance standards, and scaling its user-centric ecosystem to make cryptocurrency trading more accessible to both retail and institutional participants.
