cTrader (@cTrader) has opened its multi-platform plugins to brokers and prop firms, allowing them to offer their own services inside the trading platform.
Plugins can be pre-installed in cTrader for a firm's existing clients or listed in cTrader Store. They are built and launched independently, so brokers and prop firms do not need to wait for a core-platform release.
Pre-installed plugins give specialised tools a dedicated space inside cTrader, while the core platform experience stays untouched. Services that can be delivered through plugins include AI assistants and trading journals, signals and trade ideas, trading calculators, market analysis, economic calendars and news, analytics dashboards, client support and engagement tools, bespoke dashboards and gamification tools.
Plugins are available across cTrader Mobile, Web, Windows and Mac, so firms do not need to build a separate solution for each platform. Existing web tools can often be brought into cTrader with minimal adaptation. Where the right tool does not yet exist, it can be built with a technology or content provider, and cTrader has a global community of developers and algo creators who know the platform and can help turn an existing service or new idea into a branded product.
Firms can choose how a plugin reaches clients. With automatic delivery, the plugin is pre-installed for every client of the broker or prop firm. With the cTrader Store only option, the plugin is listed in cTrader Store but is not accessible to clients of other brokers or prop firms.
For brokers and prop firms, the plugins allow them to shape their cTrader offering around their own brand. An exclusive tool or service can set a firm apart from competitors. Plugins can also be tailored to a particular trader segment, business model or use case, which is relevant for prop firms, where services can support specific challenge rules, trader journeys, analytics and risk requirements. A plugin listed in cTrader Store can also reach 12 million traders, giving firms another route to lead generation.
cTrader, developed by Spotware, launched in 2010 and serves more than 12 million traders and over 300 brokers and prop firms. In 2026 it became the first platform in FX/CFD trading to deliver official MCP servers for AI-powered trading, enabling traders to connect AI agents for daily operations. The platform supports more than 100 third-party integrations via APIs and plugins.
Sergey Borisov, Head of Product Development, cTrader said:
cTrader is an Open Trading Platform™, built to be flexible – brokers and prop firms decide how their offering looks, not us. In today's world, where AI has made coding far more accessible, plugins are becoming a powerful tool for our clients. Creating a more personalised experience no longer means a complex development project – now, the value can be quickly delivered to market without costly integrations. That's what the plugins offer: a new way to differentiate, retain and acquire clients on their own terms, with tools built specifically for their business.
