      Dany Mawas Appointed CEO of Markets.com South Africa

      January 02, 2024 - Markets.com, the B2C division of Finalto Group, has confirmed Dany Mawas as the incoming CEO for its South African operations. Mawas, with over a decade and a half of international financial expertise, predominantly in investor relations, sales, and managerial capacities within brokerage and asset management, is set to advance the firm's strategic initiatives in the region.

      Mawas's career includes roles such as Group Chief Commercial Officer at RaiseFX, where he was instrumental in expanding the company's global footprint, introducing and developing the brand in various regions including the MENA, Southeast Asia, and Africa, and opening 5 new offices globally in less than 3 months. His efforts in seeking strategic partnerships with Top Tier 1 Banks, Fintech companies, and established funds managers were key to this success. Additionally, his 8-year tenure at FXCM as Managing Director UK & Africa saw significant growth in trading volumes under his leadership. Dany is also a respected figure in the African financial media, regularly contributing to channels such as CNBC Africa, IOL News, Africanews and more. His experience and insights are expected to drive significant growth for Markets.com, fostering long-term relationships and collaboration with local talent and partners.
