Institutional trading division Hantec Prime, part of Hantec Markets, has appointed Michael Nichols as Chief Executive Officer. Nichols will lead the firm’s expansion into institutional markets, strengthen relationships with liquidity clients, and drive adoption of its enterprise-grade trading infrastructure.
In his new role, Nichols will oversee institutional client relationships, design customised liquidity and execution solutions, and work closely with product, technology and operations teams to deliver ultra-low latency connectivity, FIX API integrations and bespoke execution services.
Nichols said his focus would be on positioning Hantec Prime as the partner of choice for institutional market participants.
"Joining Hantec Prime at this pivotal moment is exciting. The institutional landscape is shifting toward electronic, low-latency and bespoke liquidity solutions. With a robust infrastructure and tier-1 relationships, we are rightly positioned to deliver phenomenal outcomes for clients and reshape how institutions access markets."
— Michael Nichols, Chief Executive Officer, Hantec Prime
Hantec Markets’ Chief Operating Officer, Nader Nurmohamed, said the appointment supports the group’s ambition to build out its institutional presence.
"We are thrilled to welcome Michael as the Hantec Prime CEO. His commercial experience and deep understanding of institutional liquidity make him an ideal leader as we scale bespoke liquidity and connectivity solutions for sophisticated clients."
— Nader Nurmohamed, Chief Operating Officer, Hantec Markets
Nichols’ arrival follows a series of senior leadership changes at Hantec Markets earlier this year. In July 2025, the company appointed Tim Hughes as Chief Strategy Officer and Vivek Mehta as Chief Technology Officer, while promoting Norayr Djerrahian to Chief Commercial Officer.
Nichols is a fintech and liquidity specialist with over 12 years’ experience in institutional sales, liquidity provision and fintech consulting. His background covers technology solutions, banking and payments, risk management frameworks, and regulatory licensing requirements. He has also led the development of sales teams, structured liquidity relationships and supported the onboarding of regulated clients.
Hantec Markets provides leveraged trading in currencies, bullion, equities and commodities, and access to trading platforms including mobile, desktop and Hantec Social. The firm’s institutional division, Hantec Prime, offers tailored liquidity and multi-asset coverage for brokerages, hedge funds and family offices.
Hantec Markets is part of the Hantec Group and is regulated in multiple jurisdictions, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Hong Kong and Mauritius. The brand has more than 30 years of operational history.
