CMC Markets, a FTSE 250 company and global multi-asset financial services firm, has launched a new ChatGPT integration that allows UK CFD clients to access and explore supported account and market information through conversational prompts.
By connecting a supported CMC CFD account, clients can use ChatGPT to retrieve and summarise information grounded in their CMC account and market data, including balances, account values, positions, orders, supported products, pricing and historical market information.
The integration is read-only. It provides access to financial information while keeping trading and account activity separate. ChatGPT cannot place, amend or cancel orders, open or close positions, move funds, or make other changes to a client's CMC account.
Once connected, clients can use prompts to explore their account and supported markets, including requests such as "summarise my account balance and account value", "what positions do I currently hold", "do I have any pending orders", "find the available CMC markets for gold", "what is the latest available price for GBP/USD", and "show a daily candlestick chart for Apple over the last three months".
The launch forms part of CMC Markets' continued investment in AI and technology, supporting its strategy to simplify access to financial information and evolve the client experience across its global multi-asset offering.

"AI is changing how clients expect to interact with financial services. For CMC, the opportunity is to combine our market expertise, data and technology with new ways for clients to access and understand financial information. This integration is an important step in that journey. As we continue to invest in AI, our focus is on practical applications that simplify the client experience and strengthen our global multi-asset offering."
