cTrader Store is introducing subscription-based access to cBots, indicators and plugins, moving beyond its previous one-off purchase model.
The change allows traders to access premium products through smaller recurring payments, while sellers can build recurring revenue through subscription renewals. Depending on the product, sellers will be able to offer weekly, monthly or longer-term plans, with a one-time purchase option remaining available for some products. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, with access continuing until the end of the paid period and no further charges applied afterwards.
For traders, the model lowers the upfront commitment needed to use a product, while still providing continuous access and updates throughout the subscription period. Traders will also have the option to later move to a longer plan or switch to unlimited access.
For sellers, the recurring payment structure creates an ongoing income stream, with earnings generated from every successful renewal for as long as traders continue using the product. The lower price point is also intended to attract customers who are not ready to commit to a full upfront payment.
The update is also expected to affect intermediaries and brokers. For introducing brokers, the reduced entry point is designed to make high-value Store products easier to promote. Broker marketing teams will also be able to feature subscription-based Store products in campaigns targeted at specific audiences.
The subscription model is particularly relevant for multi-platform plugins that depend on live data, AI processing or content requiring regular updates, as these require ongoing infrastructure, maintenance and support that a single upfront payment does not always cover. AI Assistant, which allows traders to ask about their balance, margin, open positions, trading history, prices and market news, is cited as an example of this type of service-based plugin.
The launch also enables brokers to build their own branded plugins, either independently or in partnership with Store sellers. Once listed on cTrader Store, these plugins gain exposure to the platform's global community of more than 11 million traders.
cTrader Store has said it plans to continue developing the subscription model further. Planned additions include tools for traders to discover, compare and manage subscription plans, paid seller spaces allowing sellers to combine multiple products and services under a single subscription, and in-app purchases that would let traders buy plugins and cBots directly within cTrader Mobile.

"Subscriptions mark a meaningful shift for cTrader Store. They make premium products easier to access, create more growth opportunities for sellers and brokers and open a new commercial path for multi-platform plugins. What we're building toward is a Store where every participant – traders, sellers, IBs and brokers – can find real value and succeed."
