CXM Group has agreed to acquire TD Markets (Pty) Ltd, a Johannesburg-headquartered broker authorised by South Africa’s Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) as a Financial Services Provider (FSP 49128). Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2015, TD Markets is headquartered in Sandton, Johannesburg, and offers multi-asset trading on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 to clients across Africa.
It serves more than 50,000 active clients and is one of South Africa’s leading locally headquartered brokers. The FSCA is the regulator that oversees financial services providers in the country, and its authorisation is a requirement for firms offering such services to local clients.
TD Markets brings its FSCA licence, local brand, client community and partner network to the transaction, while CXM Group brings international scale and trading infrastructure. The acquisition gives CXM Group a regulated base in South Africa. TD Markets’ clients gain access to CXM Group’s global liquidity and trading technology, and its partners gain access to the CXM international partnership programme.
TD Markets’ brand, team and FSCA licence remain in place, and client accounts, funds and trading platforms are unaffected. South African clients remain with TD Markets (Pty) Ltd, regulated by the FSCA, so their account, funds and regulator do not change. Client funds remain held in segregated accounts. Platforms, logins, account types and withdrawal processes continue as today, and clients do not need to take any action. Existing agreements with introducing brokers and partners remain in place with TD Markets.
Any future change will be communicated in advance, in line with FSCA requirements. Further details and answers to common questions are available at tdmarkets.com/cxm.

Andrei Alekseev, Chief Marketing Officer, CXM Group said:
“South Africa has one of the most developed financial markets on the continent and a deep culture of trading, especially in gold. TD Markets has built a strong local brand, a talented team and a loyal community of traders. We are not here to change what clients value. We are here to invest in it: in liquidity, in technology and in people on the ground in Johannesburg. Together, we will accelerate growth for traders and partners across Africa.”

Amar Ramith, Chief Executive Officer, TD Markets
Amar Ramith, Chief Executive Officer, TD Markets commented:
“Our priority throughout this process was finding the right long-term partner for our clients and our team. CXM’s execution, its depth in trading technology and its commitment to keep our brand, our people and our FSCA licence made it the right choice. Our clients will see the same TD Markets, with more behind it.”
In 2026, CXM Group was named Best Gold Trading Broker at iFX EXPO Dubai. This year it also launched 24/7 gold trading and connected its trading accounts to TradingView. Following completion, CXM Group and TD Markets plan to bring these capabilities to South African clients, together with CXM Group’s liquidity and execution infrastructure.
CXM Group plans to invest in the Johannesburg team as the base for further expansion across Africa. TD Markets’ leadership team will remain in place, and Amar Ramith, Chief Executive Officer, TD Markets will continue in his role.
