Devexperts (@Devexperts), the global software developer for the capital markets, hosted its first Trading Industry Leaders Lunch in Jakarta, Indonesia, last week. More than 30 figures from across the country’s capital markets industry attended.
The roundtable was held on Thursday, 29 October, at The Langham in Jakarta. Discussions centred on how investor confidence and market integrity can be strengthened, the role of technology in building more resilient, transparent and scalable trading infrastructure, and how brokers can innovate, compete and prepare for the next phase of market development.
Indonesia’s Capital Markets Industry
Devexperts said the event took place as Indonesia’s capital markets industry reaches a pivotal point. With a growing population of young, mobile-first traders, the country’s capital markets hold significant potential for development, although questions remain over how infrastructure, regulations and transparency need to be improved.
Devexperts used the event to hear about the specific challenges faced by brokers, exchanges and financial institutions in Indonesia, and to share its global best practices and technology expertise.
The company is a developer with more than 20 years of capital markets and software development experience. It specialises in multi-asset trading platforms, exchange solutions, financial charting tools, market data delivery services, and AI-powered data analysis and customer engagement solutions. Its engineering team of 800 is based in locations worldwide.
Regulatory Approval For DXtrade
In August 2026, Devexperts’ flagship white-label, multi-asset trading platform, DXtrade, became one of only two platforms in Indonesia to receive regulatory approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency, Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditi (Bappebti). Bappebti is the government agency responsible for regulating and supervising commodity futures trading in Indonesia.
DXtrade is partly or fully customisable and can be configured to support stocks, options, futures, ETFs, mutual funds, bonds, FX, CFDs, and margin and spot digital assets. The platform is available on web and mobile browsers, as well as through a dedicated white-label mobile app. It supports third-party integrations through its open APIs and includes TradingView charting and analysis out of the box.
Its modular design and pro-integration architecture allow brokers to implement DXtrade as a standalone multi-asset platform or integrate it with their existing software infrastructure.
Devexperts Team In Attendance
Devexperts representatives worked with attendees to identify opportunities, establish solutions to challenges and discuss how the company can support the industry through DXtrade, as well as its charting, AI-powered data analysis and market data feed solutions and services.
The Devexperts representatives present were Charmaine Athaide, Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Devexperts; Jon Light, Senior Director of Product Management, Devexperts; Brett Hoffman, Director of Product Management, Devexperts; Alexey Korotkevish, Director, Strategic Accounts, Devexperts; and Sylvie Qian, Account Manager, Devexperts.

Charmaine Athaide, Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Devexperts said:
“Jakarta has a lot of potential to become an established capital markets hub. There are, however, still major issues that need to be addressed. Technological robustness is one such factor.
“Infrastructure that can deliver the scalability, security, and transparency needed to compete on an international stage, is vital – and the industry needs to act fast. Technology that enables Indonesia’s capital markets industry to access more markets globally, attract and retain foreign investment, and meet regulatory requirements is key to unlocking and securing the market’s next phase of growth.
“Following the regulatory approval of our flagship multi-asset trading platform, DXtrade, in August of this year, we are well-positioned to support the industry in Indonesia with our software and development services. This will enable us to help brokers not only prepare for – but drive – Indonesia’s capital markets evolution.
“We look forward to our continued work with clients in Indonesia and to contributing to the country’s future as an increasingly significant participant in global markets.”

Americans vote on November 3 for all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and a third of the Senate. The presidency is not on the ballot, which means any new Congress will still need the President's signature to turn bills into law. Markets care about the midterms less for the laws that follow and more for what changes in oversight, budgets and the regulatory mood of Washington.
