Digital asset prime brokerage Sage Capital Management has announced a partnership with EDXM International, a digital asset trading venue that offers institutional access to perpetual futures.
EDXM International is backed by major financial institutions including Citadel Securities, Fidelity Digital Assets, Charles Schwab and Virtu Financial, alongside venture capital firms Sequoia Capital and Pantera Capital. The venue is designed to provide capital and cost-efficient crypto trading with access to deep liquidity.
Under the agreement, Sage Capital will act as prime broker to EDXM International, giving hedge funds, asset managers, family offices and brokers access to perpetual futures contracts. Institutional clients will be able to trade across 44 pairs, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and XRP.
According to Sage Capital, onboarding through its platform provides benefits such as enhanced capital efficiency through credit intermediation, collateral management and net settlement processes that lower capital requirements. The broker also emphasised its risk management framework, which includes access to a non-custodial trading venue supported by a central clearinghouse and the use of bankruptcy-remote segregated accounts for client protection.

Nathan Sage, Chief Executive Officer of Sage Capital, said:
“EDXM International is backed by some of the world’s most established financial institutions and we are delighted to be providing a gateway to such a credible venue. Our partnership with EDXM International reinforces our strategy of providing institutional clients with high quality access to digital asset markets.”
— Nathan Sage, CEO, Sage Capital

Kal Chan, Head of Institutions at EDXM International, added:
“Sage Capital is a rapidly growing digital asset prime broker, recognised for delivering secure, seamless, and compliant access to the digital asset market. We are pleased to welcome them as a member of EDXM International and look forward to working together to provide reliable liquidity solutions while further expanding our institutional client base.”
— Kal Chan, Head of Institutions, EDXM International
Sage Capital Management has operated since 2015 as a regulated digital asset prime broker. Its services include access to deep liquidity at competitive pricing, multi-venue execution, collateralised lending and crypto-linked banking. The firm highlights its single API connection as a way for institutional clients to streamline access to the wider digital asset trading ecosystem.
EDXM International operates as a subsidiary of EDX Markets Holding Company Inc. and positions itself as a venue tailored to institutional requirements, applying practices from traditional markets. Its parent company, EDX, provides a trading venue and central clearinghouse structure, with backing from established trading firms and venture investors.
