Gemini is releasing an XRP Edition of the Gemini Credit Card, in collaboration with Ripple. Cardholders can earn up to 4 % back in XRP on gas, EV charging and rideshare; 3 % back on dining; 2 % back on groceries; and 1 % back on other purchases.
“The Gemini Credit Card is a bridge to the future of finance. By introducing a special XRP edition of the Gemini Credit Card, we’re giving customers and the XRP Army new ways to earn XRP and express their passion, loyalty, and excitement,” said Tyler Winklevoss, Co-Founder and CEO of Gemini.
As of 27 July 2025, Gemini Credit Card users who held XRP rewards for at least one year witnessed those rewards increase in USD value by 453%. The $73,700 in rewards at the time they were earned grew to over $407,000. This represented the highest percentage gain among all rewards currency selections for Gemini Credit Card holders at that time.
“Fifty-five million Americans own crypto and that number is only increasing as more people look for easier ways to access and use it in their daily lives," said Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple. “With Gemini, we’re making everyday spending a chance to earn and connect with both XRP and RLUSD. It’s a step toward giving people a faster way to move money, and making crypto simple and approachable for everyone.”
The XRP Edition of the Gemini Credit Card carries no annual fee, no fee to receive crypto rewards, and no fee on foreign transactions. Rewards are delivered automatically, and customers can switch between crypto rewards as frequently as they wish.
Gemini is also expanding access to Ripple USD (RLUSD)—a USD-backed stablecoin issued by Ripple, which has surpassed a $640 million market capitalisation and ranks among the top six USD stablecoins. RLUSD is now available as an optional base currency for all spot trading pairs to Gemini users in the United States, simplifying transfers by eliminating extra conversion steps and fees.
