Multi-asset brokerage GivTrade has been granted a Category 5 (“Arrangement and Advice”) licence by the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), marking a further step in its regional expansion strategy.
The licence, issued on 22 December 2025, authorises GivTrade to carry out regulated activities in the UAE including financial consultations, introductions, listing advisory and promotion activities, in line with the permissions set out under the SCA Rulebook.
Category 5 authorisation sits within the SCA’s onshore regulatory framework and requires firms to meet defined governance, capital adequacy and compliance standards, reflecting heightened regulatory oversight for advisory and arrangement-based activities in the UAE financial market.
With the onshore approval in place, GivTrade plans to expand its UAE-facing operations while continuing to develop its international offering for active traders and investors. The broker provides access to global financial markets via MetaTrader 5 (MT5) and proprietary applications, offering CFDs across forex, precious metals, energy, indices, commodities and stocks, supported by market news, research and educational content.
“Holding an SCA Category 5 license is a strategic turning point for GivTrade and for our clients in the UAE. This approval from the Securities and Commodities Authority confirms that our governance, risk and compliance standards meet the expectations of a leading global financial centre, and it allows us to provide independent financial consulting, introductions and promotion activities within a clear local regulatory framework.”
— Hassan Fawaz, Chairman & Founder, GivTrade
GivTrade operates from Icon Tower in Barsha Heights (Tecom) and plans to deepen collaboration with local and regional financial institutions, with the SCA licence providing a clearer domestic regulatory framework for its UAE activities.
The approval also aligns with the firm’s broader regional roadmap, supporting closer local market alignment and enhanced partner engagement as it looks toward 2026, with a stated focus on transparency, client communications and responsible product engagement.
