GCEX Group, a prominent regulated digital prime brokerage known for providing deep liquidity access to brokers, funds, and professional traders, has announced the appointment of Jonathan Brewer, a seasoned industry professional, as its new Chief Revenue Officer.
Operating from the United Kingdom, Brewer will be responsible for driving growth and expanding GCEX's client base, focusing on institutional and professional clients across the company's operations in the UK, Denmark, and the United Arab Emirates. With a strong track record in scaling electronic trading businesses and a deep understanding of the liquidity and technology needs of institutional clients worldwide, Brewer is well-positioned to lead GCEX's growth initiatives.
Prior to joining GCEX, Brewer co-founded IS Prime and served as its Managing Partner, while also holding the position of Commercial Director at ISAM Capital Markets. In these roles, he was instrumental in establishing, developing, and expanding the firm. His professional background also includes more than ten years of senior sales and management positions at Goldman Sachs and Sucden Financial, where he specialised in e-FX solutions.
At GCEX, Brewer will collaborate closely with Lars Holst, Founder & CEO, to execute the firm's growth strategy. His responsibilities will include expanding GCEX's market presence, enhancing its product offerings, and elevating the firm to a global market leader, all while maintaining a steadfast commitment to investor protection.
Lars Holst, Founder and CEO of GCEX, stated, "Jonathan is very well known and widely respected in our industry, with a reputation for delivering growth and a focus on innovation and market integrity. It is a significant endorsement that he has chosen to join our team. His insight, network and extensive industry and leadership experience will be a huge asset to GCEX. I look forward to working with him to drive our ambitious global growth plans forward."
Jonathan Brewer, Chief Revenue Officer for GCEX, added, "GCEX has a very compelling product make up, as one of the only companies that seamlessly bridges the frontier between traditional and digital assets. I am looking forward to connecting with new and old contacts to generate additional commercial impetus for the GCEX Group. The opportunity to work with Lars, thereby putting together the founders of CFH and IS Prime, the two stand out global Prime of Primes of the last 10 years, was too good a chance to pass up."
