@Plus500 (@Plus500) (LON:PLUS) has conditionally agreed to acquire full ownership of Guru Corretora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários Ltda (Guru), a regulated broker-dealer in Brazil, the second largest derivatives market globally. The company is a global multi-asset fintech group operating proprietary technology-based trading platforms.
The acquisition gives Plus500 a direct local presence in Brazil, Latin America’s largest economy. It builds on the group’s existing B2B partnership with Nelogica and its local presence in Colombia, where it recently entered the market.
Guru is regulated by the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil (CVM). Plus500 said Guru’s regulatory framework will allow the group to build and broaden its local offering to include Brazilian stocks, futures, options and fixed income securities. The acquisition also supports Plus500’s ambition to give customers across Latin America access to US derivatives markets, and the group said it will continue to pursue further growth avenues in the region, both organically and inorganically.
Plus500 will fund the acquisition entirely from existing cash resources of over $860m as of 30 June 2026. The consideration is payable upon completion, subject to customary regulatory approvals and other standard closing conditions.
Plus500 describes its approach as targeted bolt-on M&A: acquiring businesses backed by local regulatory licences, market access and operational expertise, then scaling them using its proprietary technology and product innovation. The Guru deal is the group’s second acquisition in approximately one week, following its agreement to acquire US broker-dealer Hedge Capital Markets.

David Zruia, Chief Executive Officer, Plus500 said:
“Brazil is one of the world’s most attractive trading markets, and acquiring Guru gives us the licence, the experienced local team and the regulatory framework to thrive. By combining our proprietary technology and multi-asset trading expertise with our recently announced Nelogica partnership, we can now offer a far broader range of products, including access to US derivatives. This is another clear step in our value creation strategy to deepen our offering and reach new markets.”
