Scope Prime, the award-winning institutional liquidity division of Rostro Financial Group, has announced the appointment of financial markets veteran Andrew Taylor to lead the company's APAC division. With over 30 years of experience in the CFD and FX sectors, Andrew will focus on establishing an operational presence and growing Scope Prime's market share across the Asia-Pacific region.
Daniel Lawrance, CEO of Scope Prime, stated, "Combining Andrew's wealth of industry knowledge with our dynamic product set positions us well to expand our institutional reach across the fast-growing APAC markets. The Scope Markets brand is already well-known by retail investors in much of the region, and Andrew will be instrumental in building the Group's presence and delivering our high-quality solutions to banks, brokerages, and other institutional counterparties within the region."
Andrew's career began over three decades ago in the Interbank Spot FX market. In 2003, he made a pivotal move into the emerging online trading space, where he continued to build expertise in the fast-evolving Prime Broker and Institutional segments. His extensive knowledge has enabled him to build two globally recognised Prime of Primes from scratch, as well as multiple retail brokerages with footprints across APAC, Europe, the US, Middle East, and Africa.
Commenting on his new role, Andrew Taylor said, "I'm delighted to be joining the talented ranks of the Rostro Group and look forward to solidifying and growing the Scope brand and its offering within the Asia-Pacific region. The company's innovative approach to providing competitive liquidity across a diverse range of markets addresses the recurring client need for comprehensive multi-asset access from a single provider. With the growing demand for these services in APAC markets, supporting this with a physical presence will undoubtedly help cement Scope's position in the region."
Based in Sydney, Andrew will initially focus on establishing the regional office while simultaneously driving Scope Prime's portfolio of liquidity, which currently covers more than 40,000 different assets, instruments, and markets. In June 2024, Scope Prime was voted best all-round liquidity provider in the annual B2B Global Forex Awards.
