November 28, 2023 - Listed Polish multi-asset broker XTB has appointed Tomasz Gawron to lead its Artificial Intelligence (AI) division, a newly established segment within its Technology & Product department. This move underscores XTB's commitment to the confident and responsible incorporation of AI into its business operations and proprietary investment platforms.
In his role as the Head of AI, Gawron will be at the forefront of developing and steering XTB's strategy for integrating disruptive, AI-driven technologies. His leadership will be pivotal in aligning the division with the company's broader goals, ensuring that AI is effectively implemented into current and future products and services, and streamlining daily business operations.
Highlighting the strategic importance of this initiative, Achraf Drid, Senior Executive Officer - Middle East & North Africa for XTB MENA Region, stated, "As a fintech enterprise with a focus on the Middle East market, we aim to lead the way in our industry amidst the transformative influence of AI and machine learning. Our pivotal role within XTB is instrumental in expediting the integration of cutting-edge, AI-driven solutions tailored to enhance our existing Machine Learning capabilities. We view this technology not only as an integral component for elevating performance, data analytics, client onboarding, and support but also as a catalyst for enhancing employee productivity. Embracing these advancements positions us uniquely to cater to the distinctive needs of our Middle East clientele."
The AI division, under Gawron's guidance, will not only focus on prototype testing and validation but also manage all AI-related projects to align with the company's high standards and business objectives. This team will also stay abreast of the latest trends in AI, ensuring that all employees are well-versed in AI applications pertinent to their roles, while adhering to internal and regulatory norms.
Adam Dubiel, Chief Product & Technology Officer at XTB, elaborated on the transformative potential of AI within the company, "We will use AI to democratize access to data and personalize user experience. A more unified conversational interface to training materials, platform configuration options and support along with access to current financial data analysis should make platform users more efficient in their day-to-day operations. We are moving towards a world where a custom, interactive report is generated from fresh data whenever you ask. Imagine your personal assistant helping you distill insights from information available on our investment platform."
Gawron, an experienced programmer, robotics expert, and academic, brings a rich background to this role. His previous position as AI research and engineering lead at Wunderman Thompson Technology, where he was instrumental in developing the AI research department and executing the company's AI strategy, equips him well for his new responsibilities at XTB. Gawron is also noted for his academic contributions, holding a PhD in Automation, Electronics, and Electrical Engineering from the Poznan University of Technology.
