Global multi-regulated broker AvaTrade has received authorisation from the Colombian Financial Superintendence (SFC) to operate in Colombia. This development allows the company to expand its services in Latin America while adhering to local regulatory standards.
Jeffrey Navarro, Regional Director for Latin America at AvaTrade, commented on the significance of this approval: "The SFC has taken excellent steps to lead the charge in overseeing our industry in Latin America. Our authorisation allows Colombian traders to have safer, more monitored and clearer options when participating in international financial markets."
AvaTrade aims to provide Colombian traders with access to various financial products and services. The company emphasises its focus on technology, customer service, education, and security in its offerings.
Navarro elaborated on the company's approach: "We are a company dedicated to providing our clients with the best possible trading experience. We invest heavily in advanced technology, high-quality customer service, educational programs and robust security measures to ensure our clients operate in a safe and efficient environment."
The broker implements several measures to enhance user experience and security. These include managing client funds in segregated accounts, investing in trading platforms with mobile apps and analytics tools, and offering educational resources such as webinars, tutorials, and articles.
"Recognizing the importance of financial education, we offer a variety of educational resources at AvaTrade, including webinars, tutorials and articles, designed to help traders enhance their skills and knowledge," Navarro added.
AvaTrade's entry into Colombia is part of a broader global expansion strategy. The company recently introduced futures markets, which Navarro highlighted: "A great example is our recent launch of futures markets where clients can trade in a more advanced market with our technology."
According to company data, AvaTrade currently serves over 200,000 registered traders who execute more than two million trades monthly across its global operations.
