Institutional electronic trading platform MEX Exchange, part of Dubai-based financial derivatives group MultiBank Group, has added two senior commercial figures in the space of a week, appointing Brian Liedberg (@BrianLiedberg) as Chief Revenue Officer and Global Head of Sales, with Stuart Peck (@stuart_p5e2c1) joining as Director of Liquidity Management and Sales EMEA.
The appointments follow a reshuffle of the venue's leadership at the end of August, with Liedberg the first externally announced hire under new Chief Executive Brian Andreyko (@BrianAndreyko).
Liedberg brings more than 30 years of experience across global capital markets to MEX Exchange. Before joining, he was Head of Global Sales and Chief Revenue Officer at institutional FX and crypto liquidity provider TradAir, where he led the company's global commercial growth through its acquisition by ION Group. MEX Exchange Chief Executive Brian Andreyko was previously Chief Business Officer at the same firm.
Liedberg was earlier Head of Global Sales and Chief Business Officer at Ingenium, covering global sales, business development and commercialisation. His career also takes in senior leadership roles at FX technology provider Integral, digital asset brokerage Enigma Securities and trading technology firm Celer Technologies, spanning global sales, electronic trading, digital assets and institutional markets.

Brian Andreyko, CEO, MEX Exchange
"Brian Liedberg brings extensive experience across institutional markets and electronic trading, combined with a strong track record in building commercial relationships and driving international growth. His understanding of the institutional trading landscape will be valuable as we continue to develop MEX Exchange and strengthen our engagement with clients across global markets." - Brian Andreyko, Chief Executive Officer, MEX Exchange
MEX Exchange has not issued a formal announcement on Stuart Peck, who confirmed the move himself on LinkedIn last week, saying he had started as Director of Liquidity Management and Sales EMEA and thanking Chief Executive Brian Andreyko for the opportunity. He named Beth White, Jeremy Pearce and Vibhanshu Bahuguna as the colleagues he would be working with, and flagged plans to be at TradeTech FX in Amsterdam, which runs from 15 to 17 September at the Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre.
Peck arrives from FX and digital assets technology provider Spotex, where he was Executive Director, Institutional Sales and Distribution EMEA, based in London and reporting to Chief Executive John Miesner. Before that he spent more than 14 years at Integral Development Corp, the last two as Global Head of Liquidity, with responsibility for primary coverage of all Tier 1 liquidity partner relationships alongside selling Integral's liquidity and SaaS services to banks and financial intermediaries across EMEA. Earlier in his career he held e-FX sales positions at Citi, Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers.
Both men have Integral on their CVs, and both have sold institutional FX liquidity and technology into bank and non-bank counterparties across multiple regions.
The two arrivals cap an intensive period of senior change at the venue. On 31 August, David Ogg (@DavidOgg) was promoted to Vice Chairman and Brian Andreyko to Chief Executive Officer. Ogg has more than four decades in FX trading and trading technology and is widely known in institutional FX as the "Father of the ECN", having founded HotspotFX in 1999 before establishing LavaFX and Ogg Trading, with earlier roles at Credit Suisse, Lehman Brothers, HSBC and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. Andreyko was previously Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff at Currenex, Executive Vice President and Head of EBS at ICAP, Chief Executive of MakoFX/Liquidity Pool and Chief Business Officer at TradAir.
Two days later the platform promoted Jeremy Pearce to COO for the Middle East, Africa and Asia, Beth White to COO for the Americas and Europe, and James Longo to Chief Technology Officer. Pearce has 20 years running and supporting trading businesses, including as COO of FX Sales and Trading at Nomura and roles at J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Barclays. White has more than 30 years in financial technology, previously as Managing Director and COO of Cürex Group and Director and Head of Operations at Hotspot. Longo spent more than 30 years in electronic FX technology, including as Managing Director and Head of Software Engineering at Cürex Group and Senior Vice President at Citi, where he was technical lead for the first generation of CitiFX Velocity.
MEX Exchange was launched by MultiBank in May 2024 as an electronic communications network aimed at banks and institutions in BRICS and Gulf markets, quoting spot foreign exchange, precious metals and commodities.
MultiBank Group was established in California in 2005, serves over two million clients across 100 countries, reports daily trading volume in excess of $35 billion and holds more than 18 regulatory licences across five continents. Both MultiBank and MEX Exchange are controlled by founder and chairman Naser Taher.
