@cTraderhas released version 5.10 of its mobile app, introducing a reorganised layout intended to make everyday trading actions quicker to reach.
Trade management has moved into a new Positions app, while symbol search and watchlists now sit within a new Markets app. A redesigned login screen also forms part of the update.
The Positions app, accessible from the bottom navigation bar, brings together all of a trader's activity on their account. All open positions appear in a single list, from which a trader can modify a position, add protections, open a chart or view a position's details. An Orders tab shows pending orders, while a History tab lists closed trades that can be filtered by period.
The Markets app replaces the former Trade section and is likewise opened from the bottom navigation bar. It allows traders to browse available symbols, create and edit their own watchlists, and switch between them. Selecting a symbol opens an overview containing details and tools for that instrument, including its open positions, pending orders, price alerts and trading history over a chosen period.
The updated login screen lets new traders create a cTrader ID using a Google account, an email address, or an Apple ID on iPhone and iPad. Returning users can then sign in using the same method on subsequent visits.
cTrader said the mobile app is often a broker's main point of contact with clients, making ease of use in daily operation commercially significant for onboarding and retention. The company also noted that brokers can promote their branded mobile apps using the AppsFlyer SDK, tracking campaign performance across channels and following how traders engage after installation.
Sergey Borisov, Head of Product Development, cTrader said:
"With every release, we look at how we can simplify everyday trading operations and make the overall experience more natural and convenient – that is the thinking behind our Traders First™ approach. With cTrader Mobile 5.10, we have reorganised key areas of the app to reduce unnecessary steps and make core functions quicker to access. We will continue developing the platform in the same way – around how traders actually use it and what helps them trade more comfortably day to day."
