FXDA Community Event 2026: Panel Insights, Networking, and Community in Limassol

Your Bourse hosted the FXDA Community Event during iFX week in Limassol, bringing together brokers, dealers, risk managers, liquidity providers, trading technology experts, students, partners, and members of the wider FX Dealer Academy community.

Held at Library Bar, the event combined two practical panel discussions with an evening of food, drinks, networking, community prizes, and industry conversation.

The event also included the announcement of Marios Kyriakou as the new Head of FX Dealer Academy, marking the next stage in FXDA’s development as a practical education and community platform for the brokerage industry.

Industry Panels and Practical Takeaways

The first panel, Dealer’s Survival Guide for 2026, was hosted by Elina Pedersen, Co-Founder and CEO of Your Bourse. The discussion featured Giannis Nikola, Chief Risk Officer at easyMarkets; Marios Antoniou, Chief Executive Officer at LP Prime; Bailey White, Global Head of Trading at TMGM; and Matthew Maloney from Edgewater Markets.

The panel focused on the challenges facing dealing desks and risk teams in 2026, including liquidity pressure, gold and energy volatility, concentrated client flow, hedging, toxic flow, copy trading, and hybrid risk models.

A key theme was that liquidity risk must be viewed in practical execution terms. For brokers, access to pricing is only one part of the picture. They also need to understand depth, execution quality, risk limits, liquidity provider relationships, and how their setup responds when client flow becomes concentrated during volatile market conditions.

The second panel, Trading Platforms: Front-End Glory, Back-End Pain, was hosted by Kate Rutkovskaya, Chief Revenue Officer at Your Bourse. Speakers included Valter Timanov, Chief Operating Officer at Your Bourse; Aytugan Khafizov, Founder & CEO at FastMT; Drew Niv, Chief Strategy Officer at ATFX; and Matej Serbec, CTO at TradeLocker.

This discussion explored the platform and infrastructure decisions brokers face as they grow. While traders often focus on the front-end experience, the panel looked at the operational reality behind the screen, including latency, APIs, bridge connectivity, data feeds, hosting, reporting, risk tools, migrations, and long-term flexibility.

One of the main takeaways was that platform choice should support the broker’s commercial model, client base, and operational requirements. As brokers serve different trader segments and expand across entities or jurisdictions, infrastructure flexibility becomes increasingly important.

Networking and Community

Beyond the panel discussions, the evening gave attendees the opportunity to connect in person, continue conversations from the sessions, and meet people from across brokerage, dealing, liquidity, risk management, and trading technology.

The event also included food, drinks, football in the background, and community prizes for active members of the FX Dealer Academy Telegram group.

These informal moments formed an important part of the evening, reflecting the growing role of FXDA as both an education platform and an industry community.

Marios Kyriakou Announced as Head of FXDA

During the event, FX Dealer Academy officially announced Marios Kyriakou as the new Head of FXDA.

Marios will lead the next stage of the academy’s development, with continued focus on practical training, community discussions, and industry-led education for brokers, dealers, risk professionals, operations teams, and fintech professionals.
