London-based agency execution specialist Liquidnet has bolstered its European Execution & Quantitative Services (EQS) team with three appointments, including former BNP Paribas director Prashanth Manoharan as Head of Execution Consulting for EMEA.
Manoharan, who previously led Cash Equities Analytics at BNP Paribas following Deutsche Bank's electronic equities business acquisition by BNP in 2022, will focus on enhancing algorithmic trading capabilities and developing multi-asset analytical services.
"The opportunity to further enhance our algorithmic trading capabilities and collaborate with our Members to optimize execution outcomes is a key focus," says Manoharan. "As markets become more complex, it's crucial that we continue pushing the boundaries to deliver innovative solutions that meet our clients' needs."
Oliver Ekers joins from Instinet as Execution Trader, whilst Henry Baugniet, previously a data scientist at The Racing Manager, takes the role of Execution Analyst.
"As our members navigate a fragmented and complex liquidity landscape, they need a comprehensive service model from their agency partner to guide them," says Gareth Exton, Head of Execution and Quantitative Services, EMEA at Liquidnet.
The EQS team, established in 2014, serves over 1,000 asset managers globally.
