The new season builds on STARTRADER’s first-year activations, including the STAR Trading League, as the multi-year collaboration with the NBA continues.
STARTRADER is building on its first season as the Official Partner of the NBA, with plans to further engage its community throughout the 2026-27 NBA season, which tipped off on Oct. 20. STARTRADER will continue to have a presence throughout the season through in-arena backdrops, broadcast-visible placements, select league media platforms and live events.
Since announcing its collaboration with the NBA in January 2026, STARTRADER has expanded its activities beyond brand presence to include the STAR Trading League, a basketball-inspired trading tournament created for the STARTRADER community.
“Our first season working with the NBA showed us how this collaboration could extend beyond brand visibility. Through the STAR Trading League, we turned that connection into an experience our own community could participate in. The next chapter is about going further, creating more meaningful ways for audiences across our markets to engage with the NBA.”
— Peter Karsten, CEO, STARTRADER
The 2026-27 NBA season tipped off with three games on Oct. 20 and will feature Emirates NBA Cup action beginning Oct. 30, regular-season games in Paris and Manchester in January, and NBA All-Star 2027 in Phoenix from Feb. 19-21. These events are among the major moments on the NBA calendar throughout the season.
For STARTRADER, the new season represents an opportunity to build on the foundations established during its first year working with the NBA. Basketball’s demands for preparation, adaptability and performance under pressure reflect the company’s pillars of Strength, Trust, Ambition and Resilience, providing a connection between the sport and STARTRADER’s brand values.
