dxFeed, a global provider of market data and financial technology solutions, has announced the launch of dxScript, a JavaScript-based scripting language built for technical analysis with a native integration layer designed for AI agents and large language models.
dxScript allows traders and developers to calculate custom indicators using dxFeed's real-time and historical market data, visualise multi-series outputs, and generate indicator code from a plain-language description through a built-in AI assistant. A trader can describe the logic they want, or dictate it, and the assistant translates the request into working dxScript code.
The AI assistant is designed to handle the entire translation layer, with the trader describing the logic and the assistant generating verified, executable code, requiring no programming experience. The same workflow is expected to extend to full charting-based strategy construction.
dxScript is built on JavaScript, which the company points to as one of the most widely adopted programming languages and one of the largest training datasets for large language models. The object model is engineered to reduce common LLM error patterns while remaining human-readable, and documentation is available in llms.txt format for direct use by AI agents.
The platform includes integrated code verification and execution tooling, a domain-specialised AI agent focused on technical analysis indicator construction, and real-time data handling with state management intended for live trading environments.
dxScript is offered as a cloud-hosted solution and as an API-first integration, for embedding within existing trading platforms, charting solutions and brokerage infrastructure.
Stepan Bolshakov, Managing Director, dxFeed
Commenting on the launch, Stepan Bolshakov, Managing Director, dxFeed, said:
"Traders have always had ideas, what they've lacked is the ability to act on them without writing code. dxScript closes that gap entirely. You describe the strategy, the AI builds it, and dxFeed's infrastructure runs it at scale. That's not a feature update, that's a different category of tool."
dxScript runs on dxFeed's Market Data Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), which was recognised as Best Infrastructure Provider by the Sell-Side Technology Awards. The IaaS platform supports data distribution across asset classes as well as custom script execution within dxFeed's own infrastructure.
Planned additions include custom trading strategies with historical backtesting powered by dxFeed's Aggregated Charting Services (ACS), strategy analytics covering execution scenarios on historical data, signal notifications for live trading triggers, and integration of the dxScript engine and AI assistant into dxCharts, dxFeed's embeddable charting library.
