KuCoin EU has finalised its four-member executive team with the appointments of Christian Derler as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Managing Director for KuCoin EU Financial Services GmbH, and Tamara Rubey as General Counsel and Managing Director of KuCoin EU Payment Services GmbH. The Vienna-based entity is currently undergoing the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR) licensing process with the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA), as it looks to strengthen its position in the European digital assets market with seasoned leadership in banking, payments, and crypto regulation.
Christian Derler, COO
Christian Derler, who joins as CCO, brings over two decades of experience in traditional banking. Most recently, he led the Depositing, Asset Management and Private Banking Division at BKS Bank. In his new role at KuCoin EU, Derler will oversee business development and sales, marketing and growth, as well as other key operational functions.

Tamara Rubey, General Counsel
Tamara Rubey, a lawyer with a background at PSA, Coinpanion, and Bitpanda, is recognised for her expertise in crypto regulation and payment services. As General Counsel, Rubey will manage legal and regulatory affairs and lead KuCoin EU Payment Services GmbH.
