Crypto exchange BingX has secured a Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) licence for its European arm from Austria's Financial Market Authority (FMA). The licence was granted to MEGE zweite GmbH, the Vienna-headquartered entity that operates as BingX EU. It allows the firm to offer regulated crypto services across 29 countries of the European Economic Area (EEA), subject to ongoing passporting arrangements.
BingX EU is licensed as a crypto-asset service provider (CASP). It will offer regulated broker services, including crypto custody and exchange, to retail and institutional users. The company described the licence as a significant milestone in its European expansion.
"Our priority is to provide European users with trusted and locally regulated trading experience. Operating under MiCAR will allow us to deliver our services under a clear regulatory framework that gives users confidence while supporting the long-term development of Europe's digital ecosystem. It also enables us to combine innovation with the high standards of security, transparency and accountability that European users and institutions expect. We believe this foundation can help create a more accessible and sustainable environment for the continued adoption of digital assets across the region." - Daniel Lai, Chief Executive Officer, BingX EU
BingX EU is the latest global exchange to use Austria as its regulated base for the EEA. The FMA licensed Bybit EU in May 2025 and KuCoin EU in November 2025. It then licensed WhiteBIT EU in June 2026, shortly before MiCA's transitional period ended on 1 July. Since then, any firm providing crypto-asset services to clients in the EU has needed a MiCA authorisation.
The licence comes as the wider BingX group moves into traditional markets. It recently launched a contract-for-difference offering and added US stock trading through an integration with Alpaca.
BingX EU said it will keep working with the FMA and other European regulators as it prepares to launch its regulated services across the EEA. It has not given a launch date.
As a MiCA-authorised CASP, BingX EU will also need to follow ESMA's recent opinion that licensed firms should stop servicing non-MiCA-compliant stablecoins for EU clients. Existing exposures must be cleared by early January 2027.

NVIDIA on GPUs. ASML on lithography. Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron on memory. The entire semiconductor complex has traded on scarcity, and scarcity has delivered historic margins.
