BTCC, the world's longest-serving cryptocurrency exchange, has announced that its tokenised precious metals futures pairs reached an all-time high of $301.7 million in daily volume on 27 January 2026, as traders sought exposure to traditional safe-haven assets amid heightened global market volatility.
Silver (SILVERUSDT) dominated trading activity with $245 million in volume, representing over 81% of total precious metals volume. Gold pairs (PAXGUSDT, XAUTUSDT, GOLDUSDT) accounted for $56.7 million combined.
The spike in tokenised silver trading volume aligns with renewed industrial demand forecasts and safe-haven positioning amid geopolitical tensions.
BTCC's performance in tokenised real-world assets (RWA) accelerated throughout 2025, with the exchange recording $53.1 billion in RWA futures volume. Quarterly volume grew 18-fold from Q1 to Q4, with gold and silver ranking among BTCC's most-traded products alongside stocks such as NVIDIA and Tesla.
The exchange is preparing to launch TradFi, a solution that enables users to trade stocks, commodities, indices and forex alongside crypto from a single account. BTCC is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2026.
Founded in 2011, BTCC serves over 11 million users across more than 100 countries. The exchange is partnered with 2023 Defensive Player of the Year and two-time NBA All-Star Jaren Jackson Jr. as global brand ambassador.
