Digital banking and institutional financial services firm Bloomsbury Money has appointed Mike Ross-Osborne and Jamie Henderson to its trading desk in St. Helier, Jersey, both joining from Standard Chartered-backed digital asset brokerage Zodia Markets.
The hires follow Bloomsbury Money's recent award of a Money Service Business licence from the Jersey Financial Services Commission, authorising the firm to provide e-money, money transmission and institutional deliverable FX services from the jurisdiction.
Mike Ross-Osborne brings a background in institutional sales and trading across digital assets and FX, with a focus on market structure at the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets. Jamie Henderson joins with experience in trading and market execution, having worked across complex liquidity environments at Zodia Markets.
The appointments follow the recent hire of Chris Clarke as head of compliance, as the firm continues to build out its operational presence in St. Helier, Jersey.
Michael Siwek, founder of Bloomsbury Money, linked the hiring push directly to the firm's regulatory progress.
"The acquisition of our Jersey MSB licence was a statement of intent. By bringing in top-tier talent, we are reinforcing our commitment to building a true bridge between institutional-grade FX technology and everyday digital banking."
