Where Is Gold Price (XAU/USD) Headed Next? Support Levels and Fed Policy Signals

How Will Middle East Tensions and Fed Policy Impact the Gold Price? XAU/USD Technical Analysis and Support Levels

      Highlights

Last week seen mixed performance across global markets as falling U.S. yields including a weaker DXY fueled gains in oil and equities.

Investors have already factored in a softer Federal Reserve outlook alongside lower odds of a September rate increase.

Meanwhile, rising crude oil prices fueled by Middle East geopolitical tensions spark secondary inflation worries and pushed Treasury yields higher, which limits gold's potential upside.

      PARAMETERS TO PRICE MOVEMENTS

A weaker U.S. Dollar or DXY, driven by softening labor and economic data that diminishes the chance of near-term Federal Reserve rate hikes, reduces the holding cost of non-yielding gold.

FOMC Minutes this week as market participants will examine for Federal Reserve policy signals, and because weaker employment data has tempered expectations for aggressive tightening, any dovish tilt will provide support for gold.

Persistent Middle East friction continues to sustain safe-haven gold demand, making the pair XAU/USD prone to sudden accumulation surges during any unexpected escalation. As geopolitics tensions continue between the U.S. and Iran are escalating into a prolonged conflict following the expiration of their ceasefire and a recent attack on a cargo vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.

      1. With Daily charts shows the asset experiencing a sharp corrective pullback from the upper Bollinger Band back toward the middle baseline.
      2. Relative Strength Index (RSI) fluctuating near 52.47 signals softening momentum as it drifts out of bullish territory toward the lower boundary of the neutral zone, supporting this cooling phase.
      3. Lower Support or Pullback Floor at 4383 represents a previous resistance level that has successfully been breached and flipped into structural support.
      4. Immediate Support or the Re-test Price Region at 4401 as a frequently touched historical pivot and reaction zone on lower timeframes where the asset actively finds demand. Waiting for a clean reaction here helps filter out false breakouts.
      5. Immediate Upside Target or Resistance at 4434 which serves as the next major bullish target and overhead hurdle on a recovery bounce, where price interaction typically demonstrates mean-reverting properties.
      6. 4500 as the major macro ceiling as it represents the ultimate upside barrier. Any sustained bullish continuation must break and close above this psychological level to challenge higher macro highs.
      7. Average True Range (ATR) how much a price typically moves over a given time, acting as a reliable assessment of recent market volatility.

      Conclusion & The ACY Edge

XAU/USD maintains a cautious, neutral outlook, suspended between supportive macroeconomic drivers and a short-term technical consolidation phase.
